Yonadav Raz Levenstein was killed by Hamas terrorists while fighting in Northern Gaza on November 3, 2023. He was 23 years old. Yonadav was the son of Michael z’l and Leora Levenstein, the youngest of 6 children, 3 girls and 3 boys. He was the giant baby of the family. He was married to Hadar.

Yonadav was extremely intelligent. He read endlessly and soaked up knowledge. He had many fields of interest, including Biblical, Jewish and world history and geography, politics, economics and philosophy. He shared his knowledge in his modest way, speaking to each person at their level, never making anyone feel less smart than he was.

Yonadav loved music and was a talented musician. He played guitar, piano, drums and other exotic instruments.

Yonadav loved the Land of Israel. Before his army service he worked as an excavator at The City of David archeological site, discovering pieces of Jewish history in the area of the Temple Mount. It was there that Yonadav met the love of his life, Hadar. Together they forged the Israel Trail and planned their future. They were married on September 7th, 2023. Two months later Yonadav was killed in battle.

Yonadav was big and strong and had  a warm, sensitive heart. His presence was always felt, spreading love amongst family and friends. He is painfully missed by all.
